Anti-Bullying Week

In our class we are making a survey about what is bullying and how it occurs? This is in progress, as an integrated task. For example, in Maths we are doing statistical inquiry on bullying.

In Reading ,we are reading true stories about people who got bullied by learning about the problem (cause) and outcome (effect), like how some stood up for themselves. We also learn how we can deal with bullies and from where to seek help from. We are going to share our knowledge by writing a persuasive text on bullying. As it will help others in need ,and people who are afraid to open up. Topics on bullying will help the victims to seek help and not to be intimidated by someone who tries to bully them in anyway.

The many different types of bullying
  1. Cyber Bullying
  2. Physical Bullying
  3. Verbal Bullying
  4. Racial/Racist Bullying
  5. Sexual Bullying
  6. Social Bullying
Did you know New Zealand is ranked the second highest country in the world for bullying,
which is tremendous based on our population compared to other top countries in the same direction.

Bullying is a crime in my country and as a matter at state it should be a crime in everyone's country.

Sincerely: Marissa & Shivan

V R Experience

We had a session with Virtual Reality Team at our school where we had an amazing 360 degree experience of the Marine Reserves in New Zealand. The underwater experience via VR was a new experience for us. Our class enjoyed the session and got motivated to petition for increasing the Marine reserves in New Zealand.

Collaborative Task of Rooms 12 and 11

Room 12 worked collaboratively with Room 11 where they used latest Innovative Digital Technology tools like Coggle to share and enhance their learning. The students worked from their classrooms and enjoyed their learning experience. A group of students from the two classrooms researched the timeline of Treaty of Waitangi in their own time and then collaborated their ideas on online concept maps.
